In April’s Plenary session, MEPs aim to make significant progress in the fight against money laundering. On the 18th, the proposal on the prevention of the use of the financial system for the purposes of money laundering or terrorist financing will be discussed.

In the ECON Committee parliamentarians will continue their exchange of views on the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), one of the key proposals in the current legislative process. On the 24th, the Committee is scheduled to vote on the EMIR Refit Draft Report.
