What's on the agenda this month

In September, the working parties will continue their technical work and focus on examining Presidency compromise proposals related to the Mobility Package. The Plenary is also expected to hold a topical debate on Europe on the Move: an agenda for the future of mobility in the EU.
For maritime sector, the legislative process continues on the proposal for reducing waste discharges from ships at sea. The ENVI Committee will vote on its report on 13 of September.
Proposal on the promotion of clean and energy-efficient road transport will inch closer to its conclusion with ENVI voting on the draft report to the proposal. ENVI voting will also take place in regards to Proposals on setting emission performance standards for new passenger cars and for new light commercial vehicles.
In the air transport sector, trilogues are expected to continue on the proposal to safeguard competition in the air transport sector, following the first session on 27 June.
